An audio drama of the highest quality, Oliver Twist was recorded on location in London with an award-winning cast. This including Brian Blessed, Edward Woodward, John Woodvine, and Geoffrey Palmer. This classic story will steal your heart as the timeless characters are brought to life in Focus on the Family Radio Theatre's edition of Charles Dickens' beloved tale. This amazing audio production comes on five CDs, with a bonus DVD that includes behind-the-scenes production footage and the documentary Modern Day Oliver. Purchase of the product also benefits Focus's "Wait No More" adoption initiative.
With cinema-quality sound and an original soundtrack, this audio drama tells the story of a young orphan sent from a child farm to begin life in a workhouse. After committing the unpardonable offense of asking for more food, Oliver is sent off to apprentice with a coffin-maker whose wife mistreats him. He runs away to London, where he meets the Artful Dodger and Fagin, who trains kids to be pickpockets. Despite his many trials and hardships, he finally gets his happy ending, bringing hope for redemption to all around him.
What is radio theatre? Radio theatre is the bridge between film and audiobooks in the format of a dramatised, purely acoustic performance. It is an immersive experience for listeners to imagine the characters and the story through dialogue, music and sound effects. Unmatched, Focus on the Family’s Radio Theatre is award winning with performance from internationally acclaimed actors. More than an audio book it is a movie that plays on the biggest screen of all... your imagination.

Exceptionally Well Done
A few months ago, my daughter and I traveled a great distance in only a few day to take to my son his dog. It was during that long long drive that we I searched online for Focus On The Family's Radio Theater and found Oliver Twist being presented. We were able to listen to the program at Episode 1 and instantly we were hooked. As long as we had data reception, we listened. Anyway, we were able to get through Episode 7. It was the last one available at that time. Anyway, I like it so much I came to the website to purchase it. I can't think of anything missing to make the story's presentation better. The characters were captured entirely and the acting was, to me, of the highest quality. The sound details added to help complete the most vivid moving pictures in my mind. It's as if I was moved back in time to a far away land and was able to see the story pass while I hovered about completely unnoticed. Anyway, I can barely wait for its arrival so that I can share it with family and friends. 5 stars is not a fair award for this production. I would give it at least 15 if possible. Oh, my 19 year old daughter enjoyed it equally well also.

Oliver Twist
As always, Focus on the Family's Radio Theater has produced a first-rate rendition of a classic novel with Oliver Twist. I think my appreciation of a good story, well-told, goes back to my childhood. Most Sunday nights, our father would spin a tale for the three of us children, as a way of getting us to sleep in time for the start of school on Monday. When my three children were young, I started listening to FOTF daily. After the 10 am broadcast, I switched to another station which aired the same program at 10:30! So I heard about the novels that were being produced, and began to order them for family hearing. Once I started listening, there was no turning back! I am fairly sure that I own almost all of your offerings, and I am hoping you will produce more in the NEAR future! Oh, and we also own 30 or more of the Adventures in Odyssey cassette sets, and a few of the CD ones. I feel blessed as a parent to have heard so many good stories. I hope you will produce more in the future, including the Father Gilbert series. How long will I have to wait for that?? I've been listening to the final cliff-hanger for so long!! Father Gilbert and I both need some help moving on! Thank you for enriching our family's lives.
