Master storyteller Guy Doud shares what it's like to grow up with all the inadequacies that cripple a child emotionally - obesity, an alcoholic mother, financial hardship and even being the last one to be chosen for kickball. Teacher of the year
Back in the 90's Mr. Doud came to my school. I was a new teacher and very critical of having to sit in an auditorium and watch during faculty meetings. This year completes my 30th in teaching and retirement is coming soon. Mr. Doud impacted me in a way that is hard to explain. Throughout my career I have often referred back to what Mr. Doud had said and even watched a few clips on youtube just to refresh what I had seen years prior. If you want to motivate teachers, the correct way, this will do it. It is a great jump start to the year and very inspirational.
