Kristin Schell wanted to become more intentional about reaching out to her neighbors with friendship and God's love. One day, on a whim, she put a turquoise-colored picnic table in her front yard as a way of inviting them over for meals and conversation. Her efforts proved quite successful, and wanting to encourage others to practice hospitality, she wrote a book called "The Turquoise Table: Finding Community and Connection in Your Own Front Yard." The book became a best-seller and spawned a worldwide 'Turquoise Table Movement.' On this inspiring Focus on the Family broadcast, Kristin discusses her experiences, offering inspiration and guidance for how you, too, can become a blessing to your neighbors.

I appreciated how Kristin followed the prompting of the Holy Spirit to place the table in her front yard. It would initially seem like a random, simple thing to do, but the Lord obviously used it mightily. What a blessing it’s been to so many people!
