Jen Babakhan is a former 3rd grade teacher who never intended to be a stay-at-home mom, but she sensed God calling on her to make that transition after the birth of her first child. She felt very conflicted for several years – thrilled to be at home, yet also feeling isolated, alone, and even guilty about the financial stress this put upon her husband. On this Focus on the Family broadcast, Jen recounts how God compared her son's tantrum to her own distrust of His better plan for her life. She also discusses the importance of moms having friends and community, why moms need something special for themselves outside of motherhood, and how God sees a mom's service to her children as serving Him.
