On this Focus on the Family broadcast, Maria "Hansi" Hirschmann shares her compelling story of growing up in a foster home in Czechoslovakia under the Nazi Third Reich, her years in Prague as a Nazi Youth Leader, and her confinement in and escape from a Communist labor camp. She then sought a new home in the West and started searching for the true meaning of life, which she came to find in Jesus Christ.
Hansi continues her story by relating her growing relationship with Christ, her emigration to the United States, and learning to enjoy the freedom we have here. She encourages listeners to avail themselves of the freedom which they take for granted and to teach their children to appreciate that freedom. Hansi also pays tribute to the military for their sacrifice and urges everyone to return to God if they want to keep their freedom.
