Journey to the Manger Advent Calendar

The whole family enjoyed going through this Advent calendar. I plan to purchase one again next Christmas.

We use this calendar EVERY year. We bought a new one to replace some of our well-loved and missing pieces. Each night we read the devotions and the kids take turns putting up the characters (I have the poster and the characters all laminated so we can re-use them with sticky tac.) Often the kids want to do the activity pages as well...though some of them are too difficult for kids under 10...but not all...there's a good variety of activities. We love this calendar!!!!!

....was disappointed to find that the QR codes and additional links no longer offer the resources promised in the book. I reached out to Focus on the Family, and their response was "yeah, sorry, it's 5 years old."

My whole family loved doing this together!!! It was something all of us looked forward to at night. My older kids enjoyed it as much as my younger kids. Thanks

My 4 year-old-son and I used this for the 2016 Christmas season. I can't rave about this product enough. The stories were well written and full of Biblical truths. Each daily reading had an activity geared towards older children and another geared towards younger children, so it was quite versatile. The poster and the large stickers were colorful and are in fact, still hanging in our kitchen as a reminder of what we learned. My son's favorite part of each story was the phrase that he had to repeat each time I pointed at him during the story. He memorized them each day and by the end of Advent, he would proudly point to each sticker and repeat what he had learned from that day's lesson. I wish I could find a daily devotional for the rest of the year that was as engaging as this Advent product! Well done FOCUS on the Family!

My family has used this advent calendar for two years now and it is becoming a treasured tradition for my now 5 year old daughter. The stories for each character can be simplified enough for a three year old and the stories deepened as the kids get older. I even learned a thing or two. We love the graphics and the colorful poster that helps make learning the story of Christ that much more fun!

I used this calendar for the 2015 Advent season with my two boys ages 5 and 7. We loved it! I like the scriptures about the prophets and awaiting...a subject that is sometimes hard for kids to understand, but important for them to be exposed to. The stickers and poster are very cute. It was a nice variety of additional activities. Some activities were too hard for my kids ages, but it was not a problem. When short on time, you can easily just do the sticker and scripture of the day. Highly recommended!
