Gary Thomas describes how God has created us with very different spiritual pathways or “temperaments,” and he’s outlined nine different ones some people prefer quiet prayer, others loud celebratory worship, others activism, others intellectual study of God’s Word, and so on. Gary talks about how these different temperaments impact family relationships; how we often marry our opposite. But he urges Christians and even churches to not seclude ourselves with a group of like-minded Christians. Instead, we need to embrace and learn from our differences.
